|North’s girls cross country team captured the team title at the Beaumont Invitational, and the victory at Saturday’s event was led by the Huskies’ dominant sister act.
Freshman Mackenzie Browne won the individual championship, crossing the line in a time of 17 minutes, 9.3 seconds. Makayla Browne, a junior, was second in 17:34.3. North had another top-five placer, as Lillianna Sosa finished fourth in 18:29.4.
North took the team title with 42 points, 23 better than San Jacinto, which had three runners in the top 10.
