Head Coach Samadhi Fisher joined the Huskies after compiling a great resume.
Most recently Coach Fisher joined the UCR Highlanders in 2019 with over 21 years of coaching experience. His previous stop was at the University of Indianapolis where he spent two years as an assistant women’s soccer coach and recruiting coordinator, he served as a men’s assistant coach for a year and a half at the University of La Verne and a women’s assistant coach for six years with Pomona-Pitzer Colleges. He is a two-time member of the SCIAC conference’s Coaching Staff of the Year, earning the award once with each school. In 2016, Fisher helped Pomona-Pitzer to an undefeated SCIAC conference championship and NCAA Elite Eight appearance, finishing ranked No. 11 nationally.
Fisher previously worked for the New York Red Bulls of the MLS as a youth development coach and led San Dimas High School’s girls soccer team to back-to-back league championships, compiling a combined record of 17-1-2 after finishing the second season undefeated.
Before retiring to focus full-time on coaching, Fisher played semi-professionally for three seasons, winning Pacific Soccer League and Las Vegas Silver Mug titles. He also participated in a World Cup tune-up against Trinidad and Tobago.
Samadhi holds a US Soccer National B License, as well as a Premier Diploma, Goalkeeping Level Two Diploma, and numerous Special Topics Diplomas from United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA), including Technical Development, Sports Psychology, Speed of Play, Counter-Attacking, and using Technology and Science to Maximize Play Performance.
He earned an MA in Coaching and Athletics Administration from Concordia University and graduated with honors from Temple University with a BA (Cum Laude) in Sociology, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest and largest academic honor society.
